7:55 pm - Fruits Basket Inspired Items!
|
After seeing the anime of fruits basket a few weeks ago, I fell in love with it. I'm looking forward to borrowing the manga from a friend...I know I have lots more Sohma family secrets to discover.
I came up with some shirt designs inspired by the anime, and for lovers of specific characters...ever try to find an ""Ayame" shirt?
Without further ado, here are some designs for furuba fans!
For fans of Kyo (or Kyou if you read the manga)

OK, you know you love Yuki, just admit it!

And for people who LOVE other characters...

And my favorites, the character name with the Chinese zodiac symbol...

In addition to the shirts, there are buttons, magnets, stickers and other goodies, look around, and see what you can find.
(If you want to know who may favorite character is...it's Yuki. And Shigure... And Momiji...)

11:03 am - "How I Met Your Mother" Inspired Items
|
In the spring, I fell madly in love with a television show. Here is the synopsis from tv.com:
Airs Next: CBS at Monday 8:30 PM (30 min.) Status: New Series Premiered: September 19, 2005 Show Category: Comedy "How I Met Your Mother is a comedy about Ted (Josh Radnor) and how he fell in love. It all starts when Ted's best friend, Marshall (Jason Segal), drops the bombshell that he's going to propose to his long-time girlfriend, Lily (Alyson Hannigan), a kindergarten teacher. At that moment, Ted realizes that he had better get a move on if he too hopes to find true love. Helping him in his quest is Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), a friend with endless, sometimes outrageous opinions, a penchant for suits and a foolproof way to meet women. When Ted meets Robin (Cobie Smulders), he's sure it's love at first sight, but destiny may have something else in store. The series is narrated through flashbacks from the future."
First of all, the characters in the show are so evocative of my friends that it's scary. (My husband and I are quite convinced that the character of "Marshall" is based on our friend Matt.)
Secondly, the character that Neil Patrick Harris plays, Barney Stinson, is the funniest character on television today. (Check out his blog, here.) Once you watch a few epsidoses, you will stop thinking of NPH as "Doogie" and start thinking of him as "Barney". I don't even know why I like that character...if I had a real friend who acted like Barney all the time, I'd probably have to kill him. Still, his dedication to "suiting up" and his commitment to psychitude are, to put it in his own words, "LEGENDARY!"
Thirdly, it's narrated by Bob Saget, who is frikkin hilarious.
And lastly, "Ted" (Josh Radnor) is cute. Cute almost in a lost-puppy-dog kinda way, but still quite adorable.
So if you're already fan of the show, here are some shirts & stuff for you. If you're not a fan of the show, just watch it, you won't be disapointed.
Here are the "I Heart Lily" and I Heart Barney" Shirts. Because who doesn't love Lily and Barney? (But, there are also I heart Ted, Marshall and Robin Shirts.)

And here is the "I Licked The Liberty Bell" Shirt. (No, I haven't really licked it yet, but it's on my to-do list.)

And lastly, here is the "What would Barney Do" shirt, with the word "Legendary" across the back.

Look around the HIMYM section, and you can find lots of other shirts, mugs, teddy bears, undies, magnets & stickers. And, as always, if you don't find exactly what you're looking for, let me know and I will see if I can make it for you!

11:18 am - Shipper Shirts!
|
|
I've put up a whole store devoted to Angel & Buffy Shippers!
If you don't know what a shipper is, don't feel sad...I'll tell you. A shipper has nothing to do with FedEx or UPS. A shipper is a fandom term for someone who like a particular romantic pairing and wishes it success (short for 'relationshipper') in a book, movie or TV show. There are shippers that promote relationships that exist in the show, and those that promote relationships that never existed.
In the case of these shirts, the pairings are all characters from Joss Whedon's television shows "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel".
For example, here are the Buffy/Angel and Buffy/Spike shirts...

And here are Fred/Wesley and Willow/Tara shipper shirts...

And there are also some weird combos...like Dawn and Connor.

I tried to think of all the pairings that I could...If you don't see the one you want, email me & I'll make it!
These designs are available on all kinds of shirts, and mugs, bumper stickers, magnets, bags and more!
Come visit my site...drop me a line by email or as a reply to this entry, and let me know what you think!

4:02 pm - INSTANT COSTUMES!!!
|
|
OK, so they aren't really costumes, they're just shirts that say what you're supposed to be. But if you hate dressing up for Halloween, or for costume parties, they may work for you!
Instant Costumes
If you're lazy, just wear the shirt and a pair of jeans. If you want to add an extra touch, visit your local costume, halloween or dollar store. Buy a pair of fake fangs for the "Vampire" shirt, or an eye patch for the "Pirate" shirt.

There are lots of great shirts for couples...like "Enchanted Princess" and "Prince Charming", "Master" and "Slave", "Tart" and "Vicar".

Or, these could just be fun shirts to wear every day!
More coming soon...let me know if you have any suggestions!
